Dec 20, 2021: What is my luck with cars?!

Hello everyone happy monday!! Hope you're having a great day today and hope you are all getting excited for CHRISTMAS!!!! I know I am haha. But it has been an absolutely wiiiiiiild week here in Duque de Caxias! And boy do I have a story to tell you guys today.

(Why do I feel like half my e-mails have had some crazy story haha.
Anyways we'll just split it up like this...
BEFORE FRIDAY
This week before Friday was still kinda crazy but not as crazy as after haha. Normally I don't like to do day by day updated cause I think it's kinda boring but... well here we go.
Monday was pretty interesting! We went and got a bag for Elder boroma cause he's Leaving this next week, and then we went to the chapel to hang and call our famílias! It was pretty dang fun! Me and Elder Shepherd played some Ping pong and just kinda chilled for most of the day. In the night though, we had a reunião familiar with some members in the ward. They absolutely adore Elder Boroma, só they threw him like a going away party. It was pretty funny. It lasted like 3 hours in the night só that was interesting too. But overall pretty chill.
Tuesday! Nothing really interesting happened today.
Wednesday! On Wednesday we got transfer news! We learned I would be staying in Duque with a New companion! Elder Shepherd would be going to Apolo, and Elder Boroma would head to the office  until he heads home! Só that was crazy and a little sad too! But it was pretty much what we figured would happen haha. So with that knowledge we headed into
Thursday! On thursday Elder Boroma said goodbye to lots of members so I just kinda chilled cause I'm staying here. One higlight was when he said goodbye to that family we were with on monday they all cried. Hes only been here for like 6 weeks. Só idk how it happened but itll be fun to keep the área for sure.
FRIDAY
And here we arrive. I'll try to keep this short but it might be hard haha. Só On Friday we had our mission christmas program in Andaraí, and since we had 2 people being transfered nó uber could fit us. Só we ended up taking the train. Só we dragged 6 bags through the street about a mile, and hopped onto the train. Oh and I forgot to mention it was about 100 degrees and 100% humidity, and we were wearing our suíts, soooo... yea. We were all absolutely drenched. But then we take the train out and get off at the closet stop, which was about a 40 minute walk. Só we decide to take the bus! Lets just say about 30 seconds later we got off that bus and then had a 45 minutes walk to the chapel. With six bags. In the blazing heat. Through the crowded streets of Rio de Janeiro. Só one broken bag, 2 miles and one soaked suit later we arrive 30 minutes late for the christmas meeting! It was pretty fun honestly. We had a write elephant, some food, and a good message from president de Oliveira! The whole mission was there so it was cool to see everyone. Then after the conference we had transfers. Só I found my new companion, Elder Siqueira! And then we waited... cause after that 100 degrees hear, it was now raining. A lot. Só we wait about an hour, and it lets up a little bit só our zone heads out. We made it about halfway of the 30 minutes walking back to the metrô. (We took a different way home.) And it started coming down again. Só here I am On the side of the roads with like 10 other missionaries in our suits getting soaked. Also I have a Box of book of Mormons that is slowly disintegrating in the Rain. Só we make it to the metro and chill there for a min, make it to the point we have to switch to the train... and the train is shut down because of the Rain a Bridge is washed out for the time being. Só we wait there for about 2 hours and just kinda chill, talking with the other missionaries. And we finally get onto the train, find the rest of our zone, and head out. We found 2 people on the train só that was hype. But then we Arrive to Duque. And we get there  get of the train, and it is dumping buckets. Like absolutely dumping. Só we decide to order an Uber. And while were doing that our phone dies
Só we walked like 100 meters and then decide it's a terrible idea cause were already soaked and it's like 1.5 miles to our place and we have his bags too. Só we find a telephone pole with an outlet... I still don't understand that part. And then charge our phone a bit and order another uber. Só we get in and then we start going and about half a mile in, our uber decide to try one of the flooded streets. And he flooded the engine of the car. Só we stop moving. The water outside the car is about up to the Window and is coming in through the car Doors. The floor of the car starts filling up and we decide to just bite the bullet get out of the car into about thigh Deep water in our suíts and start pushing. Só we push the car about 500 kilometers up the road through the flooded streets, and find a spot that is slightly lower só it's only up to the top of the wheels, só still knee Deep water. And we just wait there. For about 45 minutes in the Rain, under a tiny roof overhang. And then finally it stops raining, the water goes down a bit to the shins. And we Call the zls. They make it there at about 12, and then we lug 2 suitcases through the flooded streets just under a mile to our house. Só we get there at about 1 in the morning, completely soaked, and what a freaking night it was. The zls stayed at our house and we had some pizza and then finally I just passed out. Só that was my Friday this week.
AFTER FRIDAY
We had a pretty chill first few days só that was great. We just kinda caught up on all the people we needed to contact and did some stuff with the members só that was fun.

Só that was my week! Hope you guys enjoyed reading about it haha. Good times were had by all. :) but anyways I love you all so much!
My spiritual thought this week is short and sweet
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. I know this is true plain and simple.

Love you all! My mom will probably send pictures again cause I cant seems to figure it out!
