Feb 2, 2022: Opposition in All Things

 Hullo everyone!! Bom Dia!! Hope you guys are all having a great day so far today!! This week was another one that just flew by, but didn't have much that I can even remember!! Ill do my best to think of what happned, but this might be a short email if I cant! But this week i think ill just do all rapid fire highlights to help me think hahaha. But anyways, here we go!


RANDOM
I got over sickness pretty fast this week, it only lasted a couple days, but i was still a bit tired the rest of the week so that was something a little harder.
We started teaching this one lady who would only listen to elder siqueira so when anyone else was teaching she just stopped listening so that was funny
Were going to go hike sugarloaf mountain today so ill probably hold off sending this until i get a picture to add!!.... (Elder B from the future here again we did this and it was absolutely a blast!! It was such a fun pday and we were able to make it to the top and got to see the whole city of rio and the bay it was awesome)
We had one day that we had 10 lessons cancel... but we had 2 go through too, so that was good at least.
In our adventure to clean out areabook, were now in the process of finding the green dots to see if their still interested, right now were still in the calling phase, but im excited for the next part when we just go to their houses and see if we can teach a message then and there... Ill keep you all updated
Taught a couple really good lessons, one with Lucas who were going to put on date for this week or the next! 
Did some great street contacting which was mega fun! The people here are nice and always agree to hear more... the hard part is actually following through with it
The portuguese is still coming... but getting better, i think. 
Me and siqueira like to jam hard to all the church music that I have, and he sings in english too so that's really fun pretty much every night lol.

And that was basically the last week!

Or the week before last week, hello everyone this is elder Bradshaw from the future cause I never pushed send on my last email lol. Also I don't want to send this one and then write a whole new one so imma just add to this one but this week has significantly more stuff that happened!!

Soooooo in case you couldn't tell my pday switches to Wednesday this week! Soo yea not sure why but its chill! The craziest part of it was our 9 day week this week! We worked a tooon this week!! We found a bunch on the streets, visited greens, taught a ton of lessons, found some progressing investigators, marked 2 baptismal dates and will invite like 5 more people this week! It is awesome here! We are using every ounce of strength in our bodies and it feels awesome!!
Also I almost got shot. But that might be a story for another day ;)

Yea I realize now I said significantly more stuff, and it was, but I just summed it up pretty well in that paragraph there.Oh also we had Zone Conference, that was great. We talked about the book of mormon! It was way fun!
But anyways I'm probably just going to leave it at that this week!
Spiritual thought!!
The APs gave a training about testimony that I really liked!! If we don't have a testimony for ourselves how can we even think about sharing it with others!! It was a great example to me how i constantly need to grow my testimony and then it will help me in everything I do! I encourage all of you this week to do something to help grow your testimony!

  Hello friends and family happy Monday! I hope you're all doing super well. Sorry about not getting an email out last week, but I'll try to recapitulate what I missed. Also a fair warning that the emails might be a bit shorter than they have been but I promise to send a monster when I get home. These last two weeks have been full of miracles and some good times, so ima just give a lightning round! LIGHTNING ROUND We had 2 of the best lunches of my mission last week. May 8, 2023: Week of exchanges

  Hello my friends! How're you all doing??? Hope you're week cause I'm doing great here in Barreto, RJ! This week we had some great times and saw some awesome miracles that I want to talk about! So let's just get right into the email and talk! PDAY On the Mish whenever I can I like to do hikes for pday. 10/10 would recommend it has been awesome! Thus week we did one called pedra do elefante! And it was super awesome yall should take the time to do it EXCHANGE #1 My first exchange was with Elder Brito we spent 2 days getting on the grind together and it was fun! We found a ton of people, taught some great lessons and taught English class too! The most memorable moment was when we gave a lesson to a group of people about keeping the sabbath day holy! We had one friend of ours leave the room saying under his breath "this has to be the true church there's no other option" and it was really really cool. Apr 24, 2023: Scavenger Hunt 2.0

 So there's a list of names and addresses of members in our ward. But this list is at least 5-10 years old. Our bishop was a bit worried about this, so we offered to help a little bit! And let's just say it's been probably the biggest scavenger Hunt of my life hahahaha.  With a little map and a ton of effort we've been able to find and teach many many inactive members. It has been really awesome not going to lie. We have lots and lots of desire to help these people return to activity in the church and help them continue along the covenant path! Anyway let's highlight some of the best moments! EXCHANGESSS This week I has the opportunity to stay with a brand new missionary Elder de Jesus! It was way fun haha. We actually got our phone stolen on that day too so that was an interesting story, but after that we just went out with paper and pencil and went finding.
