July 6, 2022: Happy 4th 5th and 6th of July!

Happy 4th cause... well... yannow... some cool stuff happened that day about 246 years ago, although here you wouldn't even know it... I got to knock a  ton of doors in the heat to celebrate, it was pretty cool. Happy 5th cause it was my comps birthday!🎉Made some pancakes, ate some killer monster fries, (French fries with everything on top), and it was epic.

Happy 6th because today is pday. 😉

ANNNYways, hope yall had a great week, it was a pretty good one out here in the edge of the world, I got to walk down a lot of almost empty streets that only had one house on them, it felt like some of those missionary movies where they're just in the middle of nowhere walking on a dirt road, it was fun to be honest. With almost the whole mission here being in the city I'm feeling blessed to be in an area for so long that is so peaceful. But anyways let's get into this thing shall we?

the WORK
This week has been pretty good for missionary work, we've had a couple of great second appointments, we've got 4-5 people regularly reading the book of Mormon, and we had 7 in sacrament meeting!! It was supposed to be 17, but 10 people canceled at the last minute. Although to be rather honest I don't know if our church can handle that many people, it would be an equal ratio of members to non members haha. But this next week we'll get there! Also we've been finding a ton which is great! Always fun to go out and do some good old fashioned door knocking!

the MEMBERS
This week we had some good opportunities with the members, we hit the streets with an RM, had a family night with a family of inactives, and celebrated my comps b-day with the best family this city's got! It was a great week to keep working on our relationships with the members to keep them hyped about the work!

the SPIRIT
Today I wanted to share a spiritual thought about a video that I'm sure a lot of you had already watched but one that touches me every time. The video of Elder Holland testifying of the Book of Mormon with the example of the Prophet Joseph Smith. If you don't know what I'm talking about, look it up cause it's amazing. I just want to add my testimony to that of Elder Holland. How could 2 men, knowing that they were going to their own death, find comfort in a book that if not the literal word of God, would be a witness against them in the last day. They would not do that. The fact that they sealed their testimonies in their blood shows me that they knew, and they knew that they knew, and they could not deny it. I gave a testimony of the Book of Mormon. It brings me comfort when I need it. It brings me solace when I am down. It brings me force when I can't go on. And I will go to my grave testifying of its truthfulness! Keep reading. If you don't have a testimony yet just keep reading and praying and I know it'll come.

But that's it for mee this week yall! I love you all so much and hope you have a great week!
