June 1, 2022: "Why not double it again?"

 Opaaaa hi everyone!! How're yall doing today? Hope you're having a great summer for those of you who started summer this week haha. Just know that its almost winter here and it's still probably as hot as it is there haha. But it's been an awesome week this week so I'll hop into it!!


OUR FRIENDS

This week we found a lot of great things with some of the people we're teaching. We were able to give a blessing of healing to one of them which was way awesome! It was my first time sealing the blessing in Portuguese so that was pretty cool!

Other than that we taught a lesson this week that we didn't even make it through the first prayer and they were already crying haha. It was a really spiritually charged lesson and it was a really good experience for everyone involved.

We've got quite a few people progressing, and it's awesome just to be helping so many people in such a meaningful way!

FUNNY STORIES

Our English class this week... didn't go to well haha. We didn't advertise very well but all the same, we had tons of people say they would show up... but nobody did haha. But this week we got it down a bit better so I'll let you know how it goes. 

Yesterday we were contacting in the park and we started walking towards a guy to talk with him. So he saw us coming, and took his bike and started walking the other direction. We follow him for a bit and he just starts walking in circles to try and avoid us haha. It was pretty funny to see how hard he was trying.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT/TITLE

This week the title and spiritual though go hand in hand cause the topic of this email came from our weekly planning when we were talking about our goals! The week before this one we made a goal to double our goals from the week before, and it was awesome. So this week we decided to go a little crazy and double them again! We've just been absolutely running all over the place to be able to meet our goals and it has been amazing. I really feel like we've been able to push ourselves because of these ambitious, but good, goals that we have set for ourselves! And we know that every day that we keep God in the mix, he's helping us to reach our goals!

We've also been able to see some really cool miracles this week, like those with our friends, and also finding a ton of really cool people! So this week the spiritual thought is about goals! I know that if we set good goals for ourselves, and we keep praying and doing all we can to achieve it, we will be able to unlock our full potencial!!

  Hello friends and family happy Monday! I hope you're all doing super well. Sorry about not getting an email out last week, but I'll try to recapitulate what I missed. Also a fair warning that the emails might be a bit shorter than they have been but I promise to send a monster when I get home. These last two weeks have been full of miracles and some good times, so ima just give a lightning round! LIGHTNING ROUND We had 2 of the best lunches of my mission last week. The first was a churrasco with some members from the south that was delicious. The second was humongous beef filets with mashed potatoes. May 8, 2023: Week of exchanges

  Hello my friends! How're you all doing??? Hope you're week cause I'm doing great here in Barreto, RJ! This week we had some great times and saw some awesome miracles that I want to talk about! So let's just get right into the email and talk! PDAY On the Mish whenever I can I like to do hikes for pday. 10/10 would recommend it has been awesome! Thus week we did one called pedra do elefante! And it was super awesome yall should take the time to do it EXCHANGE #1 My first exchange was with Elder Brito we spent 2 days getting on the grind together and it was fun! We found a ton of people, taught some great lessons and taught English class too! The most memorable moment was when we gave a lesson to a group of people about keeping the sabbath day holy! We had one friend of ours leave the room saying under his breath "this has to be the true church there's no other option" and it was really really cool. Apr 24, 2023: Scavenger Hunt 2.0

 So there's a list of names and addresses of members in our ward. But this list is at least 5-10 years old. Our bishop was a bit worried about this, so we offered to help a little bit! And let's just say it's been probably the biggest scavenger Hunt of my life hahahaha.  With a little map and a ton of effort we've been able to find and teach many many inactive members. It has been really awesome not going to lie. We have lots and lots of desire to help these people return to activity in the church and help them continue along the covenant path! Anyway let's highlight some of the best moments! EXCHANGESSS This week I has the opportunity to stay with a brand new missionary Elder de Jesus! It was way fun haha. We actually got our phone stolen on that day too so that was an interesting story, but after that we just went out with paper and pencil and went finding.
