June 15, 2022: Transfers... but nothing changes
Hello everyone happy Wednesday! How're you all doing?? Hope it's going well for you guys! This week was pretty solid, a lot of work, some cool people we found, still working with a lot of solid people, and all that kind of good stuff!!
TRANSFERS
This week was transfers... and absolutely nothing changed haha. I'm still here with Elder de Jesus, I'm pretty pumped about it haha. For those of you keeping track this is 4 transfers so I'm gonna hit 6 months here in Macabu. :)) President seems determined in keeping me as far away as possible for as long as he can haha. Good stuff though! It's wild how fast they all move now though. It's like i blinked and the transfers gone. It reminds you you gotta keep the grind on always, cause the Mish comes and goes so Dang fast!!
RANDOM
This week not a ton of new stuff happened haha. But I'll give a lightning random section.
I lost my wallet but one day after a dude drinking on the street said "are you guys the missionaries? I found this on the street this morning" and sure enough it was my wallet! And pretty much everything was still in it! (I mean the cash was gone but there was only like $5 of cash haha.) But it was a little miracle that someone found it and gave it back!!
Some random old lady on the street passed and called me and my comp beautiful boys.
We had our first successful English class! With 4 people there it was pretty cool haha.
Hit the first time where I actually felt cold on my mission. It was about 13 degrees Celsius.
Had our last district council with our current district, everyone who came here before me or with me is leaving. Soooo I'm technically the oldest missionary here in the entire zone of Macaé now haha. With our mission president, not many people hit 4 transfers in an área... but here I am
Found a few sketchy places to enter at night, and also found an abandoned school with some gigantic spiders.
And that's pretty much it!!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!
This week randomly my comp challenged me to memorize the young men's and young women's themes, and I decided I would, just for the heck of it. As I was memorizing something caught my attention in the theme of the young women. It says... "As a disciple of Jesus Christ I strive to become like Him." I really like this part because this is the goal! We are all trying to become like Christ so that we can be "joint-heirs with Christ" obviously we mess up and have to rely on the merits and mercy of him that is worthy to save, but the goal is always the same. We just need to keep trying and keep improving ourself each day!!
Anyways love you lots!!
