June 29, 2022: That doesn't look like a cake, bro
Hi everyone happy Wednesday! Hope you're all doing well out there in the big wide world! This week was actually pretty good! We had a zone conference, a couple days without sleep, a covid booster shot and one failed cake. So let's get into it!
ZONE CONFERENCE
I'll get to the spiritual part after but zone conference was great! We had a combined ZC with another zone, so it was a bit of a long travel but it was cool! We had some great trainings and some awesome discussions, and interview with President are always awesome too. But it was a good time. The only crazy story was that we had to wake up at 4:45 to travel, but little did we know that the busses would be all messed up because of a city holiday of Macaé. So we waited... and waited... and waited... the bus didnt show up for a couple hours, but thankfully we got to the conference just a few minutes late haha. But then on the way back we took the right bus but there was traffic so we weren't able to go back to our area the same night, so we ended up sleeping on the floor. Or we tried to sleep haha. In the end it was like 40 hours without sleeping so that was cool! The funny part was that I didn't actually get terribly tired until the next day. But the conference was definitely worth it!
THE NON CAKE
So this week we had a family night with one of the members of the branch and we decided to try and make a cake. Elder de Jesus is usually pretty good at this stuff so we just are going for it and it looks like it's going great but then we take it out of the oven... let's just say we made a great tasting rectangular cookie. But what can you do?
SPRITUAL THOUGHT
During zone conference we learned from Presidente de Oliveira about the parable of the talents! One thing thay stuck out to me was that he shared about how much the lord trusts us. If you read historically about the talent, it's more than 6000 days of work for an average person working in the day and age. So the lord here is trusting this servents with enough money to buy more than 160 years of work! Our job is to do something with it. If we're not willing to do our work we're not living up to the trust he has in us! I know that if we're willing to do the work, the lord has so many amazing things in store for us! Just keep the work going yall!
That's about it for me this week! Love you!
