Mar 17, 2022: Meeting with an apostle!!! (PREVIEW)

Hellllloooo everyone. Good morning from Macabu, where I learned I'll be staying for another 6 weeks with Elder Calazans! Should be a good next transfer! But anyways, before you ask why I'm writing this on Thursday, it's cause there was this meeting thing on pday and we also had some appointments in the afternoon so President said we could take a few hours to have pday on Thursday cause of this meeting thing with the area presidency. It was pretty cool though, my spiritual thought today will talk about that.

ALSO, about the title of this email, this Friday, we're having a huge meeting of the mission with Elder Soares right there in a church close to the new temple of Rio de Janeiro!!!!! I am so excited! It will be such an amazing experience to start off the transfer and everything that's happening around here!! It's going to be so cool!! So yea next week you guys will get to hear about how that was!!

Anyways this week was pretty good! We got to do some fun stuff that really was just a good time.

DIVISÃO

This week right after pday we had an exchange with the zls that was way fun. We got to do some teaching and that is always awesome for me, and then we also did a heck ton of contacting! It was way fun. One fun story is a member from another ward called us and told us we had to go "rescue" her son but we couldn't tell him that she was telling us to do it, so we just went and contacted this dude and she was totally spying on us as we did it hahah. But anyways, it was a good time!

#MISSIONGOALS

I accomplished some of my mission goals this week, one of which is standing up in front of a bus full of people and contacting all of them at the same time hahah. It was pretty fun. I actually did it twice. Once alone and once with Elder Munafo. Good times. Another mission goal was eating a meal with a non-member family, and I've actually done that a few times already, but none beat last night. We were invited to the most cool family that was just super nice and it was awesome to see that. Now we're just working on how to tell them that they need to be baptized haha. But it's been really fun, we've just got a lot of work to do.

SAYING TCHAU

This week we say bye to elder Munafo and he says by to the city of Macabu. So we've been running around like a chicken with our head cut off just saying goodbye to everyone. But it's been way fun to just see the impact that Elder Munafo had on the city, and how I can do it too.

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

Like I said the spiritual thought this week is from the meeting we had yesterday. A member of the 70 was talking with us and he talked about work on this and the other side of the veil. It was really cool cause he talked about how there are people waiting and influencing us to find their decendents so that the decendants can get baptized and then do work for their ancestors. Without that, it's hard for them to even have a chance. I loved this thought. We have so much divine help here on this earth, as missionaries and also just as people! We are always with help when we need it. I know I've felt that help sometimes. But I just want to encourage yall to keep going, keep studying and keep doing the work of the Lord on both sides of the veil! Any of you who are struggling or far from where you want to be, turn to the Lord and I promise it's better. I promise that turning or returning to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the best thing you could ever choose to do. And the Lord will bless you.

Well anyways that's about it for the week for me. I'll try to send pics probably in a different email cause... yea.  But anyways! Love you all! Have a good week!!!
