Oct 12, 2022: One of the best books

 Hi everyone good morning from Maricá, RJ! Hope everyone's well! These last few weeks have been a bit hectic but they have been really good also! Were just grinding trying to find the elect here in our City, and its super awesome!


As far as eating with members goes, our area has to be one of the best in our mission, literally every day we have lunch in the home of a different member, and lots of times we even have more people to eat with than there are days in the month haha. So at times we get to have lunch and dinner with some members, which is really fun. We are putting a big focus on helping the members be more involved in the work, and every time we are with the members we leave a message with them and encourage them to invite a friend to church! Its been going decently well! We are finding enough people through the members that our time is always very limited and we are constantly rushing between appointments. As far as problems on the mission go, this is a pretty good one to have haha.

I have gotten to be a Master at the different busses that Cross the city, with how much we travel haha. We went 1 day without using the bus and the next morning when we got on the bus again it felt like i was coming home or something based on how familiar it was. It just goes to show how big our area really is, cause were constantly having to take the bus to our appointments. If we were to walk from one end of our area to the other, it would take about 8 hours. Good stuff haha. 

With all that traveling, i have been able to take some time and whenever I'm not contacting people on the bus, I've been reading Jesus the Christ! Its been awesome to read, really really such an amazing book that explains so many things about the Savior and Redeemer of the world! Highly recommend to anyone who likes Jesus. 

On that note, ill just end saying that i know Jesus is the Christ, he is our Savior, the Master teacher, who gives us the opportunities to really get to know Him through his teachings. I know when we read His teachings and become more like Him, we are preparing to live with Him in our heavenly home. I am grateful to God for the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ!!

  Hello friends and family happy Monday! I hope you're all doing super well. Sorry about not getting an email out last week, but I'll try to recapitulate what I missed. Also a fair warning that the emails might be a bit shorter than they have been but I promise to send a monster when I get home. These last two weeks have been full of miracles and some good times, so ima just give a lightning round! LIGHTNING ROUND We had 2 of the best lunches of my mission last week. The first was a churrasco with some members from the south that was delicious. The second was humongous beef filets with mashed potatoes. May 8, 2023: Week of exchanges

  Hello my friends! How're you all doing??? Hope you're week cause I'm doing great here in Barreto, RJ! This week we had some great times and saw some awesome miracles that I want to talk about! So let's just get right into the email and talk! PDAY On the Mish whenever I can I like to do hikes for pday. 10/10 would recommend it has been awesome! Thus week we did one called pedra do elefante! And it was super awesome yall should take the time to do it EXCHANGE #1 My first exchange was with Elder Brito we spent 2 days getting on the grind together and it was fun! We found a ton of people, taught some great lessons and taught English class too! The most memorable moment was when we gave a lesson to a group of people about keeping the sabbath day holy! We had one friend of ours leave the room saying under his breath "this has to be the true church there's no other option" and it was really really cool. Apr 24, 2023: Scavenger Hunt 2.0

 So there's a list of names and addresses of members in our ward. But this list is at least 5-10 years old. Our bishop was a bit worried about this, so we offered to help a little bit! And let's just say it's been probably the biggest scavenger Hunt of my life hahahaha.  With a little map and a ton of effort we've been able to find and teach many many inactive members. It has been really awesome not going to lie. We have lots and lots of desire to help these people return to activity in the church and help them continue along the covenant path! Anyway let's highlight some of the best moments! EXCHANGESSS This week I has the opportunity to stay with a brand new missionary Elder de Jesus! It was way fun haha. We actually got our phone stolen on that day too so that was an interesting story, but after that we just went out with paper and pencil and went finding.
