Sept 25, 2021: Flight Plans and other Crazy Things

Hello all! Its been another awesome week at the home mtc and things are getting real! I only have one week left, and I can't believe it!! I still have a ton to learn and I'm ready to absolutely attack this last week and continue to learn all I can.

Flight Plans!!
I'll just jump right into the headline of this email! Just 2 days ago, I got my flight plans to New Hampshire! I'll be flying out on October 6th, so starting today it's a 10 day countdown!!! In other news, I'll be getting up at 2:00 that day cause my flight leaves at 6:00. 😬 And also I'm starting to gather everything together! I am going to need to kick it into gear this week to get everything I need and pack it all into my bags! It's going to be great!

Porchigeez
Not a huge shocker here, but Portuguese is as hard as ever. I know that each day I have the gift of tongues in my learning and in my practicing. Sometimes when you hit that 4-5 week mark of the online MTC, it is hard to push on. But it is doable with the power of Christ. I know that all things are doable with Christ on your side, and he always is!

District 34 Melhor
Most people I know have said that their District is "the best"  but they have all been lying to themselves and all those around them. My district has truly been the biggest possible blessing, and there is not a single other person who I would choose to go through online MTC with. Today I had the opportunity to spend much of the day with my district, playing pickleball, basketball, and spikeball. It was absolutely amazing to be able to be with my district, and each and every one of them has helped me learn so much.

Spiritual Thought
This week, much of my study and thought have been revolving around one three word phrase. "But if not." This phrase first stood out to me in the story of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. In the face of possible death, they had faith in God. First they had faith that God could save them. BUT IF NOT, they had faith that it would be OK anyways. I hope that I, and each of you, can choose to have this type of faith. I know that we can be delivered from trials, BUT IF NOT, we can find hope and peace in Christ anyways. I found a song that illustrates this principle perfectly, and I felt the spirit very strongly listening to it, and I hope you can too. You can find it here

Well that's about me from this week, Love you all!!!
